1 Accepting these Terms

These Terms govern the use of the Ultmu Online website and, from launch onwards, of the server itself. By creating an account, entering the game or buying a Founder's Pack, you state that you have read and agree to them.

There is no partial acceptance: if you disagree with a clause, the way out is not to use the service.

The processing of your personal data is described in a separate document, the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

2 What Ultmu Online is

Ultmu Online is a private server inspired by MU Online, run by fans. We have no affiliation, sponsorship, licence or approval from Webzen or any holder of rights over MU Online, and we do not present ourselves as an official service.

MU Online and the associated original trademarks, art and content belong to their respective owners. The content we create — Ultmu's own maps, systems, events, art, text and code — belongs to the project.

Like any project of this nature, the service may be interrupted by factors outside our control. The closure clause says exactly what happens then.

3 Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and play.

Between 13 and 18, use must be known to a legal guardian. Any purchase by someone under 18 requires a guardian's authorisation and payment method — whoever buys states they have legal capacity to contract.

If we identify an account belonging to someone under 13, we close the access and delete the data, as set out in the Privacy Policy.

4 Your account

The account is personal and non-transferable. The credentials are your responsibility, and what happens on the account is attributed to you.

• Keep your password. Never share it — not even with someone claiming to be staff. We never ask for your password.
• Do not sell, rent, lend or hand over the account. There is no account transfer on Ultmu, under any circumstance.
• Tell us as soon as you suspect unauthorised access.
• An account obtained through intrusion, social engineering or irregular purchase is blocked, and the violation goes on the record of whoever handed it over.

The account is a licence to use, not property. You acquire no ownership over the account, the character, the items or the game data: you acquire a personal, non-exclusive, revocable and limited right to use them for as long as the service exists and these Terms are respected.

5 Rules of conduct and penalties

Each violation comes with its penalty range. They exist so that punishment is predictable — and so nobody has to discover the rule after breaking it.

• Cheating — bots, macros, speed hacks, modified clients, memory injection or any automation that plays for you. Penalty: permanent ban on the first occurrence, with loss of items and balances.
• Bug exploitation — using a fault to obtain items, currency or advantage. Finding one is welcome and reporting it is the right path; exploiting it quietly is a violation. Penalty: removal of what was obtained and a suspension from 7 days to permanent, according to the gain.
• Trading outside the official tools — buying, selling or exchanging items, characters or currency outside the game's own system. Penalty: 15-day suspension on the first occurrence, permanent on repeat, with retention of whatever was involved.
• Selling, renting, lending or sharing an account. Penalty: permanent suspension.
• Fraud between players — scamming a trade, false promises, falsifying evidence. Penalty: 30 days to permanent. Impersonating staff is permanent.
• Payment fraud — improper chargebacks, someone else's card, disputing after receiving the product. Penalty: permanent ban and a block on further purchases.
• Harassment, threats, racism, xenophobia and hate speech. Penalty: mute from 1 hour to permanent ban, according to severity. Sexual content involving a minor is an immediate ban, reported to the authorities.
• Spam, chat flooding and advertising other servers. Penalty: mute from 5 minutes to 7 days; advertising another server is a permanent ban.
• Ban evasion — creating an account to get around a ban. Penalty: ban on every account involved.
• Attacks on the service — DDoS, intrusion attempts, reverse engineering of the server or client. Penalty: permanent ban and any applicable legal measures.

The list is not exhaustive: cases not covered are judged by the administration according to the spirit of these rules. Not knowing a rule does not remove the penalty.

6 How penalties are applied, and how to appeal

Every penalty is communicated with its reason. You have the right to contest it by the contact email or the channel indicated on Discord — we review and reply.

We may suspend an account as a precaution while we investigate. If the investigation does not confirm the violation, the account is restored without loss.

Reports are analysed when submitted within 6 months of the event. Beyond that, the records no longer support a safe conclusion.

A ban for cheating, payment fraud or attacking the service means loss of access and of everything on the account, including purchased items, with no refund.

7 Trading between players

Ultmu does not sell power. The server shop is cosmetic and convenience only, and that is the promise we hold to.

Trading between players happens inside the game's own tools, and only there. Trading outside them — on Discord, in a messaging app or on a third-party site — is a violation, with the penalty set out in the conduct clause.

The reason is practical, not bureaucratic: inside the tool delivery is simultaneous and a scam has no room to happen. Outside it nobody guarantees anything, and we have no way to reverse it.

The internal item market and the character market do not exist yet. When they do, they will come with their own rules, published before they go live, and these Terms will be updated.

About characters: what changes hands in the official market is the character and what is bound to it — attributes, rank, bonuses and linked progress. The buyer chooses to keep the name or change it. The account is never sold: it is yours, stays yours, and remains tied to your email.

An inherited name is not an inherited identity. Someone who buys a character and keeps its name does not take on the history or reputation of whoever created it, and using the name to pass as another person is a violation — in which case the administration may require a name change.

8 What cannot be undone

Some actions are final by the nature of the game, and are not reversed on request:

• completed trades between players;
• selling an item to an NPC;
• personal store transactions;
• Chaos Machine combinations and equivalent risk systems.

An item lost through carelessness, a misclick or another player's scam is not restored. We only restore what was lost through a proven fault of ours.

9 Founder's Pack

The Founder's Pack is support for the launch with a defined return: you pay an amount and receive a described set of cosmetic items, titles and early access. We treat it as what it is — the acquisition of a licence over digital goods — and not as a donation, because there is a price and a defined delivery.

The rewards are of three kinds: exclusive prestige and cosmetics (title, skins, name effect), early access, and time-limited progression benefits (VIP days, the launch buff package and an experience-bonus item). Those progression benefits are also obtainable inside the game, for free, through the player's own effort — the pack shortens the road, it does not close it. No tier grants a power advantage unavailable to anyone who did not buy; the only pack exclusives are the cosmetics and the title.

While the server has not opened, tier names, prices and rewards are provisional and may change. From your purchase onwards, what was described at the moment you bought is what applies: a later change does not reduce what you acquired.

In-game rewards are delivered when the server opens, and VIP days only start counting from then — no day is spent before there is a server to play on. Community rewards — access to the private Discord room — within 7 days of payment confirmation.

10 Payment

The available methods depend on where you are:

• In Brazil — Pix, boleto and credit card.
• Outside Brazil — international card, processed by Stripe.

We do not store card details: they are handled directly by the payment processor, under its own policies.

The amount charged is the one shown at the moment of purchase. Taxes and currency conversion may be added by the processor or by your card issuer.

An unconfirmed payment, an expired boleto or a reversed payment means the order is cancelled.

11 Withdrawal and refunds

You have 7 calendar days from payment confirmation to withdraw from the purchase and get your money back. This is the right of withdrawal under Art. 49 of Brazil's Consumer Protection Code, and it applies even with no reason given.

After those 7 days the amount is non-refundable, except for a failure on our side to deliver what was described, or under the closure clause.

Refunds are made by the same method as the payment. Card refunds depend on the issuer and usually appear on the next statement. Pix and boleto are returned by transfer, for which we require confirmation of ownership — Pix has no automatic reversal, and refunding to the wrong key is money lost for both sides.

To request a refund, write to the contact email with your proof of payment.

12 Losing access and items

A ban for cheating, fraud or attacking the service ends your access and costs you everything on the account, including purchased items, with no right to a refund. It is the consequence of breaking the rule, and it is written here so it is not a surprise.

Losing access through your own carelessness — a shared password, a password reused from another service, traded credentials — gives no refund and no guaranteed restoration. We help recover it where ownership can be proven.

Items may be removed, adjusted or replaced with an equivalent when they were obtained through a bug, through fraud, or through a configuration error of ours.

13 If the server shuts down

If Ultmu Online ceases operations, we will announce it in advance on the site and on Discord.

Anyone who bought a Founder's Pack and did not receive what was described gets back the proportional part that was never delivered. A shutdown before launch returns in full everything that depended on it; what was already delivered and enjoyed is not refunded.

The request can be made within 90 days of the closure announcement, by the contact email.

14 Intellectual property

Ultmu's own content — maps, systems, events, art, text, code and visual identity — belongs to the project and may not be copied, redistributed or used on another server without authorisation.

MU Online and the associated original trademarks, art and content belong to their owners. We claim no rights over them.

Extracting, decompiling, modifying or distributing altered versions of the client and server is prohibited.

15 What you create in the game

Character names, guild names, chat messages and content you post on our channels remain yours, but you authorise us to display, store and moderate that content in operating the service.

Names that are offensive, that pass as staff, or that infringe a third party's rights may be changed or removed.

16 Availability, changes and warranty

The service is provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation: there is maintenance, there are updates, faults and the unforeseen.

Game rules, rates, balance and content change — that is the nature of a living server. Relevant changes are announced on Discord in advance, under the terms of the clause on changes.

17 Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms. The review date at the top always indicates the version in force, and relevant changes are announced on the site and on Discord at least 15 days in advance.

If you do not agree with the new version, you may close your account. Purchases already made remain governed by the text in force on the date of purchase.

18 Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Brazilian law.

The elected forum for settling disputes is:

the courts of the domicile of the person responsible for the project

If you are a consumer, that election does not remove your right to bring an action in the courts of your own domicile, guaranteed by Brazil's Consumer Protection Code.
